| Description: | The Merchandise Allocator is responsible for developing and executing allocation strategies for assigned departments and categories in accordance with the merchandise financial plan, warehouse inventory needs, and inventory turn objectives. |
| Duties: | � Monitor SKU/Category/Department performance and adjust allocation strategy to maximize sales opportunity and minimize inventory liability.
� Create ad-hoc reporting as needed to drive allocation/business decisions. Trouble-shoot and resolve allocation issues in a timely manner with the warehouse teams.
� Forecast weekly inventory flows into the warehouses to support workload targets.
� Develop allocation strategies in partnership with Allocation Manager, Merchandise Planner, Merchant and Merchandiser through the management of inventory Mins, and SKU demand strategies.
� Build appropriate merchandise assortments, inventory levels, and depth strategies for retail stores locations through merchandising and corporate merchandise planning teams.
� Participate in the establishment of replenishment metrics for key SKUs/categories. Monitor results and recommend needed adjustments.
� Create all Purchase Orders and manage merchandise flow.
� Manage and monitor replenishment logic required to operate the merchandise auto-buy toolkit.
� Manage and monitor Ad Toolkit logic to full-fill business channel marketing needs.
� Execute inventory flow to support MAT productivity metrics and execute item setup to support MAT merchandise assortment
� Challenges depth and breadth of the top-down merchandise assortment plan, promotional strategy, pricing, merchandise financial and forecasts for the assigned AOR in collaboration with the Merchant.
� Validate MAT pricing strategy and manage merchandise flow to support MAT buy plan strategy
� Supports MAT financial metrics and executes MAT merchandise assortment based on strategy
� Ad Hoc MAT-level merchandise analysis /reporting and RMA management and exception analysis
� Performs additional duties as assigned

| Qualifications: | � 2+ years of progressively responsible business, planning, allocation or merchandising experience within a fast-paced retail environment.
� High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
� Business knowledge, communication, exceptional organizational skill set. Ability to understand and support the financial objectives for assigned area of responsibility
� Knowledge of merchandise plans down to a category/class/week level in dollars and units to meet required sales, gross margin, inventory turn, and operating profit targets.
� Ability to function within a team, focused on achieving corporate goals.
� Able to understand and execute seasonal assortment plans designed to achieve the financial objectives of the assigned area of responsibility.
� Executes merchandise allocation strategies in accordance to the assortment plan, designed to meet consumer demand requirements
� Able to fully understand and articulate demand parameters and their effect on merchandise in stock and service level and strong understanding of key item planning and assortment planning.
� Open-to-Buy knowledge and its impact on the merchandise assortment strategy.
� Lifecycle Planning and execution experience
� Sound understanding of key performance indicators and elements that drive retail profitability and inventory productivity.
� Less than 10% travel
� Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily with Excel and Access
� Requires the ability to multitask and well work under pressure.
� Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, are required.
� Must be able to work extended hours as needed.
